Mina Protocol to Introduce ZK Smart Contracts in Major Mainnet Upgrade

According to Foresight News, lightweight blockchain protocol Mina Protocol announced that its mainnet will undergo a significant upgrade, introducing ZK smart contracts. The main features of the upgrade include: 1) Easier programming of zkApps using o1js; 2) Enhanced security and efficiency through Kimchi; 3) Removal of super rewards to increase staking adoption rate in the initial stage of the mainnet.

Testworld Mission 2.0 is currently preparing for the upgrade, with the testnet divided into four stages: zkApp end-to-end (E2E) testing, external security audit, protocol and performance testing, and preparation for the upcoming upgrade. The first two stages have already been completed.
